This is one of my most favorite manifestations that ever happened. Now, manifesting twin sisters was amazing, but I was a kid and I just expected things to get what I want. So it wasn’t even that surprising.
Manifesting my SP and our perfect house was life-changing, of course. Both of those things unfolded perfectly. But something about manifesting my laptop was absolutely magical.
It was 2012. I wasn’t working because I had been laid off from my job. (That was also a manifestation considering I hated that job and used to affirm constantly that I would get out of it, but that’s for another article, perhaps.)
I was a stay-at-home mom at that time and to be honest with you, we were broke like a joke. We were just trying to make it work, but it was tough.
I had a laptop and I was using it for this little side job I had. (I used to rate websites for Internet Explorer, which is now Bing.)
I liked my little Toshiba laptop, but it was getting old and it started to break down on me. For whatever reason (I’m still not sure why, though I’m getting an idea…), I got it into my head that I wanted – no NEEDED – to have a Macbook Air.
As soon as I had this thought, I couldn’t get it out of my head. It was almost an obsession.
I told my husband and he basically laughed at me. A Macbook Air at that time might as well have cost $10,000. It was so out of reach for us financially.
Instead, he gave me his friend’s old Sony computer, and I HATED it. It made me even more determined to get that Macbook.
I just kept thinking about it. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I even went to the Apple store in the mall so I could touch it and imagine owning it.
I KNEW I would get it. I didn’t know how or when, but I knew I would have one at some point.
And then…
The Universe Unfolds Shit Perfectly
One day my husband comes home and says the local casino is having a sweepstakes for Macbook Air computers on Tuesday.
Woah.
This is perfect.
I remember thinking about the sweepstakes and just picturing winning this computer. I even did a little trick that was in The Secret. I made room for it. I cleared off the old Toshiba laptop on my desk, dusted the desk off, and made a space for my new laptop.
That Tuesday, I dropped my kids off at school and then headed to the casino. I remembered not being in a rush and thinking, “Everything is done with perfect timing.”
I got there and started playing a card game that my husband and I like. But I was quickly losing and, as mentioned earlier, we were pretty broke, so I didn’t have much to work with.
They would call out the winners of the sweeps every hour, and I just needed to last an hour so I could see if I won.
I started playing slot machines without much luck.
All of a sudden…
I heard this voice in my head. It said, “Why don’t you play a slot with a jackpot?”
I went over to this Grease-themed slot machine. I honestly didn’t even know what I was doing, but I pushed a button. Nothing. I pushed it again. Nothing.
For whatever reason, I hit “Max Bet” on my third try and all of a sudden this message pops up and the machine starts singing “You’re the one that I want, oooh, oooh, ooh darling.”
The message was just a simple line stating that I hit the jackpot and I needed to wait for an attendant. I thought there was something wrong with the machine at first, I had no idea what was going on!
Then people started to come up to me to congratulate me.
I won over $12,000 and I got my Macbook Air that night. (I also got a Vitamix which was on my wish list too!)
I also got to take a picture with a big check, which was so fun! (Oh, one other thing I remember thinking that morning was that I needed to do my hair and makeup in case I needed to take a picture.)
You can see the $10,000 deposit for the bank.
I took the rest in cash.
(By the way, I have this in a photo album because this is where I keep all of my sweeps wins. Sweeping is an amazing way to manifest things in your life, but we’ll talk about that in another post.)
Let’s Analyze a Bit
There are a lot of “rules” out there for manifesting things into your life, but when I think about the things I’ve manifested, I feel that I’ve hit some rules perfectly and other rules have fallen by the wayside.
While I did imagine having this Macbook Air over and over again, and while I made room for it on my desk, and while I did my hair and makeup in case I needed to take a picture, it was all “JUST IN CASE.”
Yes, I KNEW I would get that laptop somehow, but when I was at the casino, I was NEVER feeling like I KNEW it would happen then. In fact, I was pretty doubtful because I started to lose money right away.
I think when it’s time, it’s time. It’s likely you won’t know when that is. And that’s a good thing. Because this was such a fun and exciting experience. I would never be able to dream up the exact circumstances and timing for this to all happen the way that it did.
The Universe/God/Your Higher Self delivers (when you let it). And when it does, it’s so much fun!
Let me know in the comments if you’ve had any similar experiences to this. What’s the best thing you’ve manifested so far?
